Colibri Reader was born from a desire to fill a gap in the world of English language education, where learning materials often lacked cultural richness and emotional depth. Many ESL resources focus on dry or generic texts, and we wanted something different, something that brings the past to life while supporting language growth.
Our mission became clear: to explore the legends, traditions, and beliefs of past civilisations and transform them into powerful learning tools. We conducted extensive research, consulting cultural experts, historical accounts, and original sources to ensure the myths we chose were authentic and respectful of the people they represent. Accuracy and integrity were at the heart of our process.
From this foundation, we shaped each myth into a short story with a clear lesson or moral. These stories are designed to spark imagination, build values, and promote reflection, while simultaneously developing language skills in vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension.
